This is maybe the first song I ever started with words that I actually liked (1st verse). It is perhaps the oldest song of mine. One day after years of it being around I forced myself to add more words. It was tough because I had no clue what I was really writing about anymore but finally some more came out although it wasn’t nearly enough, so I asked Matt to help me out. It took maybe two sessions together to get it feeling good. This was one of the more daunting songs to record since there are a lot of sections — keeping it interesting was with sounds was always on my mind. Happy I stuck to my guns and put it as the lead-off tune.
