Years ago one evening I was bummed out that Matt and I hadn’t written together in what felt like a year. This is what we came up with. The original version is much much slower and really more so a ballad. I remember telling Matt that I wanted to make it fast for my album and him being skeptical. I think he warmed up to how it turned out though. Derek and I went to sus territory with this one and y’know, it’s fitting I feel. I certainly think it works with the desperate nature of the lyrics.
