Sometime in the midst of listening to a lot of The Bicycles and The Archies I started this tune on guitar as an instrumental thing. It’s super fun to play aaaand it’s uptempo - a rare occurrence for my songwriting. Derek and Matt helped me write the second verse (and bridge I think?). I suppose it turned out as my version of what one might call Bubblegum although, it has pretty strong pop-punky vibes to it too. For a good while I wanted to put harmonica in the chorus but ultimately with everything going on in that section I abandoned the idea.
